The preliminary results from ENDRIMUS Project (PRIN PNRR 2022) are described here. Environmental and biological parameters have been investigated to understand which environmental factors are involved in the recent phenomenon of fragility affecting both farmed and wild mussels along the coasts of the Central Adriatic Sea. Physical, chemical and biological aspects were investigated along the water column. Farmed and wild mussels were analyzed to evaluate shells properties and health status. The qPCR was applied to investigate mussel feeding preferences on target phytoplankton taxa. Results indicate a northward spatial gradient in some environmental and physiological parameters.
